Pattalam for this summer vacation.

Pattalam, produced by Lingusamy’s Thirupathy Brothers with debutantdirector Rohan Krishna, is a fresh attempt to portray the life of students in a school. With a wafer-thin storyline, it’s all about their emotions and friendships, with a focus on the enmity between two groups of boys.

The film tells the story of group of adolescent boys: Sakkarai, Nattu, Jagan, Jilakki, Guru, Karthi and Mani in Holy Bells School, who are split into two groups. Both the groups are dunbass, all the time and their encounters make up the pre-interval episodes.

Daisy (Nadhiya) is the school correspondent as well as a psychiatrist, who runs an asylum near the school. She believes that students in her school can be disciplined only through love and no hard punishment will reform them.

Sophia (Kiruba), an orphaned girl who joins the school as a new student and provides scope for a romantic angle. Sakkarai gets attracted to her and though Sophia reciprocates, she is equally friendly with Karthi. In the meantime, in an inter-school competition, Holy Bells School loses miserably despite the four of them being former champions and the principal of another school attributes their failure to Daisy’s lenient approach.

the seene of daisy's outburst have been shot in a nice manner by the director through which the students and they get united and even win laurels for the school with a championship.

Meanwhile, Sakkarai who disapproves of Sophia’s friendship with Karthi takes a drastic step on farewell day which costs the life of another student and leaves an impact on the others.

All the eight boys have given natural performances and look fresh. Kiruba, the lone girl, has managed to pass muster.

Sanjaykaran’s artwork brings a school to life and Krishnaswamy’s cinematography is good.

This movie will make nice impact amoung the students a good movie for this summer vacation. Then there this superb m ovie coming soon Pasanga.
