List of Kollywood film releasing for Pongal 2010 are Aayirathil Oruvan, Kutty, Naanayam and Porkkalam. The battle for the box-office for this Pongal seems to be going ferocious. Its gonna be a battle between the brothers Selvaraghavan and Dhanush as Aayirathil Oruvan and Kutty will release on same day January14. All the famous theaters across Tamilnadu have booked both these films which are likely to open big.

Aayirathil Oruvan is one of the most expected film of the year which is also considered as the hottest film, after the promos which are frequently screened over famous television channels and also over Internet. Producer R Raveendran has sold the film for very high price in most of the areas. Moreover the songs of this movie which is composed by GV Prakash are listed at the top on the chart. GV Prakash, have worked so hard like never before for this movie and may be thats the reason the songs are scorching the charts.




The next most expected movie of the year is Kutty, starring Dhanush and Shriya, which is apparently remake of the Telugu blockbuster film Arya which is directed by Mithran Jawahar his last film was Yaaradi Nee Mohini with Dhanush and Nayanthara which was also a superhit movie. Dhanush claims that Kutty is a perfect family entertainer with great music scored by Devi Sri Prasad. The film holds many twists and turns to make the audience laugh, cry and also to be entertained. The film doesn't have any villains and any sort of violence, may be thats why its considered as a perfect family entertainer.


The famous Producer SPB Charan, who is known for making fresh movies like Chennai-28, has decided to release his edge-of-the-seat bank heist story Naanayam, starring Prasanna, Sibiraj and new girl Ramya Raj. Singer SPB, is also have done an important role in this movie. Music of this movie is scored by James Vasanthan which is already a hit, with actor Simbu and music director Devi Sri Prasad singing a song. Debutant director Sakthi K Rajan, has directed this movie in different manner. This movie will be considered as huge break for Sibiraj who plays a negative role in the film. The film is an action thriller and which deals with a bank robbery.


The fourth movie for Pongal release is Porkkalam, Its an action cum adventure kinda movie which deals with seven bad men — Kishore, Biju Menon, Lal, Sampath, Ponvannan, Nagendran and Tinnu Anand. Kannada actress Smitha is the heroine. The film is directed by debutant director Bandi Saroj Kumar. The film’s story is based on love and revenge. It has been shot with four cameras with wide angle lens. The director loves the concept of the battlefield and that’s why he has chosen this title which is explained as the film unfolds.
Concludes Abirami Ramanathan, “It is the biggest season for movies in Tamil Nadu and we are expecting the box-office to boom during this period. There is a special audience as seeing a movie is part of the traditional Pongal ritual.”

The finale of the music festival at Chipstead on Thursday night was marked by Shruti Haasan's rocking performance along with Live Martini. They performed to some popular rock `n' roll tracks. Father Kamal Haasan and Gautami were present in the crowd to cheer the pretty lady wield ing the mike. The guest, who made heads turn was another daughter of a superstar father, Soundarya Rajinikanth.
The lady looking very relaxed in a smart white top and blue jeans, as she interacted with Kamal during the show. Many of Shruti's friends were also present at the evening and were seen showering her with thunderous applause for every performance. Also making her presence felt was Shriya Saran, who came in a bright blue saree after attending a film function.

There is lot of hype surrounding the Dhanush and Shriya starrer Kutty directed by Mithran R Jawahar. Though it is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Aarya, director Jawahar have taken a new angle to the story. It is not a regular one that talks about students on campuses, Jawahar had given a hit film Yaaradi Nee Mohini with Dhanush earlier. At the audio launch of the film Jawahar says, "Devi Sri Prasad's music for the original version was a huge hit and here again he has created the same magic." The climax chartbuster song Aa Ante as been retuned for Kutty to suit the local flavour. Produced by Gemini Film Circuit, the movie will hit the screens by Pongal.

Sometime back, superstar Aishwarya Rai was troubled by constant phone calls after an anonymous user updated her fake profile on Twitter with a message saying ‘Planning to share a secret with my Twitter friends… will update shortly. Similarly, Shahid Kapoor was being impersonated on Twitter by an individual who kept updating fans on his filmy developments.

Lekha Washington who wanted to create twitter profile was shocked to see that someone who had created her fake profile and now she had t0 use different name for creating a profile in twitter. These fake user's not only fool the celebs fans but also create problems for the celebs to choose different name due to someone else using name.
Lekha Washington said: "The biggest charm or the USP of the site is the way it makes everyone feel connected to the star or celeb they follow Everything that he or she posts can be updated on your mobile phone or your laptop. It’s almost like having a running commentary on someone’s life. I haven’t really started catching up on the lives of any celebrities per se. But if Shah Rukh Khan and Angelina Jolie start tweeting, you can count me in.”

Actor-cum- singer Shruti Haasan, who is also a Twitter bug says “All my friends in the US are huge fans of the portal, so even I joined in. I do post my tweets occasionally but I am pretty low-key when it comes to following a celebrity. However, if Madonna started tweeting, I would be online all the time.”

Even AR Rahman Twitter page was among the first to inform several fans of the composer receiving a membership invitation to join the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

Before following a celeb should check if that person's profile is fake one or real. Just blindly following is of no use.

Bollywood film Bachna Ae Haseeno which was released last year is now being remaked in Kollywood now and will done under the name of "Theeradha Vilaiyaattu Pillai." This movie will be directed by Thiru who worked as assistant to A.Rajasekhar in Satyam. May be because of that director Thiru wanted Vishal to the lead role in this movie.

This movie Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai will have Vishal romancing with three heroine, one among them happening to be a Mumbai based girl and other two heroine are Reema Sen and Shriya Charan. Vishal was involved in talks with Bipasha Basu and Tanushree Dutta for that Mumbai based girl character, finally Neetu Chandra was offered to take the role as Bipasha and Tanushree demanded for more remuneration. It seems like Vishal have agreed to pay Neetu Chandra bit more for whole lot of bikini show.

Actor Sameer who's one of the smart handsome guy of Bollywood steps his foot into Kollywood now.
Dwelling in Mumbai, Sameer has acted in various Hindi films and made his debut with a music album ‘Valentine's Day’.
Later he entered into various regional films that goes inclusive of Kannada Film ‘Nanna Preethiya Hudugi’, Telugu Movie ‘Amrithavarshini’ and much more. At the moment, he is busy shooting simultaneously for couple of Hindi films ‘Love Ka Thadka’ and Shyam Benegal’s ‘Well Done Hapaa’.

The actor will play a strong leading character in Dhanush-Shriya starrer ‘Kutty’ a remake of yesteryear Telugu blockbuster ‘Aarya’. Sameer would be enacting the role of a rich young lad deeply in love with Shriya Charan and feels that role to be quite meaty one for him. Sameer also looking for more opportunities in Tamil film industry and hopes things get on well.

We all know Kamal Hassan's next venture is Marmayogi which is a period film of 7th century, which is directed and written by Kamal himself. This is the second time Kamal Hassan is using the same tittle from M.G.R's old movies

Trisha plays the lead role in Marmayogi and Shriya as wife of Kamal Hassan. Shriya shares onscreen Kiss for the first time with Kamal while its not first for Kamal. Shriya first did't agree for the scene but later she did it.
