Asal the Ajith starrer to be produced by Sivaji Productions was launched on 8th April at 9.30 with the traditional pooja at the Late Sivaji’s house Annai Illam at Boag Road. This event witnessed the presence of noted luminaries from the film world like super star Rajinikanth, Soundarya Rajini, director K Balachander, Suriya, Karthi, S A Chandrashekar, Avm Saravanan, P.Vasu, Sakthi, Editor Mohan, Sathyaraj and Lyricst Vairamuthu and many others,
This Pooja function was conducted in grand manner,the shooting of Asal will start soon, cant wait to see Ultimate Star Ajith with his new look on the big screen.

Vinay is working on his current project which is Modhi Vilayadu, which is directed by Saran. The shooting of Modhi Vilayadu was held at the deserts near Dubai when Vinay was caught up in an unfortunate accident. the Modhi Vilayadu team was filming a scene in which Vinay was required to drive a car on the desert sands. But unfortunately, a heavy wind blew up the car and Vinay was buried into the sands. The crew rushed immediately to the spot to dig him out, later when the found Vinay, the actor was unconscious. He was immediately given first aid and was rushed to the nearest hospital, where the doctors said that the sand particles have entered his mouth and nose, which blocked his breathing. However, after thorough examination and treatment Vinay is now said to be out of danger. The shooting of Modhi Vilayadu has been stopped for quite a few days till Vinay recovers completely.
