Sonu Sood to don the villain role for Rajinikanth's Rana.

Super Star Rajinikanth saw Sonu’s performance in Dabangg as Cheddi singh and also as Pashupati in Arundhati (Tamil movie) which impressed him by his negative role. Which is how Sonu sood was roped in for much coveted negative role for Super Star’s Rana a trilingual film (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu).

Rana is said to be period-action film, based on the famous Hollywood film 300 which is directed by K.S. Ravikumar, and the film is co-produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth’s Ocher Studios and Eros International. The film will be shot in India as well as abroad with most of the same foreign technicians of Endhiran.

Super Star will be play three different age roles in Rana and Deepika Padujone has been signed to do the romantic pair opposite to youngest Super Star. Rest of the cast is yet to finalized and will have more number of Bollywood people in the movie. Shooting will start by April 2011.

Simbu in Dabangg(Tamil Version).

Simbu was so keen on playing a police officer role but his youngish looks stopped him from doing the role, but the wait is over now as Silambarasan is going to do the Tamil version of Salman Khan blockbuster movie Dabangg and Pawan Kalyan has been signed to do the Telugu version of the movie.

The tamil remake is yet to titled, but in Telugu it has been titled as Gabbar Singh. Simbu is getting ready to do the role of Chulbul Pandey a fearless funny cop which will be a real treat for all Silambarasan’s fan to see him as cop doing the same as Salman did in Hindi. To get the same look Simbu is asked to sport a real mustache as Salman did. As Chulbul Pandey simbu will also phrase some funny dialogues in the movie.


The remake rights was bought by Balaji Studios' Mohan Apparao and T.Ramesh. The film will start by the April 2011. Now the hunt is for the role of Sonakshi’s character (heroine) of the movie. The makers have planned to rope in a bollywood heroine.



Payanam Movie Review.

Payanam film written and directed by Radha Mohan. Produced by Prakash Raj. Which is also being made as Gaganam in Telugu, The film is all about flight hijacking incident. In which Nagarjuna starts the lead role as Major Raveendra along with rest of the crew including Prakash Raj, Poonam Kaur, Sana Khan, Saran, Rishi, Iqbal Yaqub, Bharath Reddy, Ravi Prakash, Brahmanandam, M. S. Bhaskar, Manobala, Prithviraj, Thalaivasal Vijay, Elango Kumaravel, Badava Gopi, Mohan Ram, Nitheesh, Chaams.

Though Payanam is said to be action thriller it has nice comedy track running along with the story. After 13 long years Nagarjuna acted in a Tamil film. He was perfect for the role of National Security Guard (NSG) commando, the main credit goes to Radha Mohan and Prakash Raj who did research on role players and also spoke army officers and got things worked up.

The film starts by giving intro of all the passengers who travel in that flight, once the flight takes off to Delhi the hijack incident takes place and the terrorist ask the pilot to redirect the flight to pakistan but due to some engine fault it is landed in Tirupati airport.

The Tirupati airport was actually a set was errected at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad by art director Kathir included runway, traffic, ATC room and two planes with "perfect interiors".
Within a month the entire set was completed which was worth 3 crores. Which is like 20% of the entire film budget claims Prakash Raj.

Rest of the story revolves how Nagarjuna and Prakash Raj save the passengers from that flight.
Radha Mohan have taken story in a nice manner superb direction.

Pravin Mani has composed, the film's background score. The film has only one solo song, which was written by Vairamuthu's son Madhan Karky.
