The ace director Mani Ratnam is believed to have had a cardiac arrest


Famous Ace Director Mani ratnam was admitted into the ICCU at Apollo Hospitals in Chennai at midnight on Tuesday 14th april, after the director complained of discomfort and chest pain.
It is reported that the 52year-old actually had a mild heart attack. This is the third time that he is suffering from a cardiac problem, the last time the director had an attack was when he was shooting for his previous film Guru in Kolkata.
The doctor in hospital reveal that Maniratnam’s condition is stable now and he was shifted into a private ward on Wednesday, Dr Subramaniyam, a cardiologist at the hospital is attending to his case. The director’s family members including his wife Suhasini and father-in-law Charu Haasan were present at the hospital.

The Doctor has been advised to take rest for the next four weeks, and as a result of this the shooting for his forthcoming movie Ravan in Hindi and Ashokavanam in Tamil which was scheduled to take place early next week might be put on hold for the time being.
